Every cookie we set is listed on this page — and right now, every one of them is essential, so there is nothing you need to opt out of.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between visits and between pages — that you're signed in, that you prefer dark mode, that a form was already submitted.

Two things worth demystifying: cookies are not programs, and they cannot read files on your computer.

Think of a cookie as a note a website leaves for itself. What matters is what's written on the note — and who else gets to read it.

How Plus± uses cookies

We don't believe websites should collect information simply because they can. Every cookie we use exists because it makes the service work, improves security, or remembers a preference you've chosen. That's the complete list of acceptable reasons.

The more common approach — set everything, track everything, sort it out in a 4,000-word policy — is a choice, not a necessity. We made a different one. When we considered adding a cookie and couldn't explain in one sentence what it does for you, we didn't add it.

Types of cookies we use

Essential cookies

These make the service function: authentication and login sessions, locked down at the browser level (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite) so scripts and other sites can't read or reuse them, plus Cloudflare's bot and fraud protection. Without them you couldn't sign in, and your account would be less safe.

Because the service doesn't work without them, essential cookies can't be disabled. They're also the least interesting cookies imaginable — they identify your session, not you as a person browsing the wider web.

Preference cookies

These remember choices you've made, such as a theme or interface preference. We don't set any. If we ever introduce one, it will appear in the cookie table below before it appears in your browser — and deleting it would never break anything; the service would simply forget your settings and ask again.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free — it sets nothing on your device at all. It shows us aggregate patterns — which pages people read, where they arrive from — without tracking you, and it is never used for advertising or for profiling you across other sites. No analytics cookies exist on this site, full stop.

Advertising cookies

We don't use them. Not fewer — none. No advertising cookies, no behavioural profiling, no cross-site tracking, no third-party advertising networks. This isn't a reduced set of tracking — it's the absence of it.

That won't change quietly. If our use of cookies ever changes, this page changes first.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted services that help us operate Plus± rather than by Plus± itself:

• Cloudflare — sets security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to protect the site against bots and abuse. These are protective, not tracking.
• Stripe — may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention. These appear only when you interact with payment pages, not while browsing.

Our other payment options happen entirely off-site: crypto payments run on a NOWPayments-hosted page on their own domain, and bank transfers go through your own bank to our Wise account. Neither ever loads on our pages, so neither can set cookies here. What they process is covered in our Privacy Statement.

We don't embed third-party media players, social widgets, or anything else that would let another company set tracking cookies through our site.

Your cookie choices

You have several layers of control:

• Our cookies today — every cookie we currently set is essential, so there is nothing to opt out of. If we ever introduce optional cookies, a preferences control will ship alongside them — and this page will change first.
• Your browser — every major browser lets you view, delete, or block cookies, either entirely or per site. The browser's help pages explain how.
• Deleting cookies — clearing cookies signs you out, but causes no other harm. Everything important lives in your account, not your browser.

One honest limitation: blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in, because sessions and security protections depend on them. That's not a policy decision on our part — it's simply how authentication works.

Changes to this declaration

If we add, remove, or change a cookie, we'll update this page and the dates at the top. For material changes — a new category of cookie, or a new third party — we'll notify active clients by email. The cookie table above is intended to be the single accurate record of what we set.
